First Day of School Coming Soon

Hello Silver Creek Families,

We are looking forward to seeing all our Silver Creek S.T.A.R. students soon!

School Office Re- Opens Week of Monday August 28 – Sept 1, 2023 (Office Hours: 9:00am – 2:00pm)

We know everyone is anxious to find out what class their child will be in for the 2023-24 school year, but we ask for your patience as we accept any new catchment area student registrations and learn about students who have moved away. We hope to be able to share class placement information with you between Sept 6 or 7. Please see below for a few important dates:

Important Dates

• Tuesday Aug 29 – New student registration day, 9 am – 2:30 pm (students who attended at Silver Creek last year do not need to re-register)
• Monday Sept 4 – Labour Day (no school)
• Tuesday Sept 5 – Staff Only Work Day (no students in attendance)
• Wednesday Sept 6 – Only students in Grades 1 – 8 attend, and school day is only from 8:01 – 11:01am
• Thursday Sept 7 – Full school day for Grade 1 – 8 students, (8:01am – 2:01 or 2:04pm)
• Kindergarten students follow a gradual entry schedule (a reminder letter will be emailed home with specifics)
• Monday Sept 18 – Pro-D Day – No school for students
• Saturday Sept 30 – National Truth and Reconciliation Day
• Monday Oct 2 – Stat (in lieu of) National Truth and Reconciliation Day – No Staff or Students in attendance this day
