June Activities at Silver Creek

We are excited to be heading out to Gardom Lake for a fun filled day of archery, wall climbing and laser tag. The school is providing lunch and busing to both cohorts on June 2 and 4.

Bikes at School week begin Monday June 7. Students are encouraged to have a bike at school to be stored in the gym overnight. Students will be permitted to ride during recess and lunch hours. All students will need a properly fitted helmet to wear. On Friday June 11, we will have our annual bike rodeo with fun activities planned all afternoon.

We are celebrating Indigenous Peoples Day on Friday June 18 with an afternoon of cultural activities. We will also recognize our new Secwepmc flag which is now proudly mounted in the gym next to the Canada and British Columbia flag. We will be having our last Super Friday lunch that day as well.

Wednesday June 23, we are having a ” Fun Day” with students competing in fun events with their cohort. PAC will be hosting lunch that day and I hear there may be freezies! In the afternoon we are having an outdoor talent show to finish our last full day of school.

Thursday June 24 is our last day of school. Students will receive their end of year report cards, say goodbyes and recognize our Kindergarten and grade 8’s. School is dismissed at 11:00. Buses will run three hours earlier.
