Seamless Day at Silver Creek
We are pleased to announce that the Silver Creek Seamless Day Before & After School Child Care Program, offered by School District No. 83 (North Okanagan-Shuswap), is now open!
The Seamless Day initiative is a unique program that provides before and/or after school care for Kindergarten students and other school-aged students, as space allows. Students connect with familiar educators throughout the day, which allows the educators to better meet the needs of the children and expand on their interests, curiosities, and wonders. The team of educators includes one classroom teacher and two Early Childhood Educators (ECEs).

Debbie Sprieszl – Morning ECE
Debbie has been an early childhood educator for 37 years and has always loved working with children. Her experience includes daycare, preschool, parent-child playgroups, StrongStart, and most recently Child Care Resource and Referral. Debbie has lived in the White Lake area for 27 years and enjoys kayaking and hiking the beautiful trails in the Shuswap. She is very excited to be a part of the Silver Creek team and the Seamless Day program.
Sally McLean – Afternoon ECE
After teaching and learning with many different people from kindergarten children to adults, and in many different places (the UK, Vancouver, Coquitlam, Northern Alberta, Edmonton and Nakusp), Sally left K-12 teaching in 2019 to train as an Early Childhood Educator. After completing her training, she moved to Salmon Arm, where she has been teaching preschool for the past year. Sally loves exploring, discovering, and creating together with children. Her interests include math, science, the outdoors, music, art, and really good stories.

The Silver Creek Seamless Day Before & After School Child Care Program will be available each school day starting at 7 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. It will be open on all Early Dismissal Days and Professional Development Days but closed on all statutory holidays and school holidays.
ENROLLMENT
At this time, we have space for 12 children and priority will be given to children in Kindergarten. As space allows, siblings of Kindergarten students and children in Grade 1 to 3 will be eligible.
