Terry Fox Run & More News
Hello Silver Creek Families!
Thank you to all families and students who have generously donated to the Terry Fox Foundation in honour of our annual Terry Fox Run. All donations, big or small, will be accepted until Monday September 25. The entire school has watched inspiring footage of Terry running as a young BC man on lonely Canadian highways at dawn. He did this in honour of all the children he met in the cancer wards during his own treatment, in hopes of finding a cure. Thank you for sending the donations with your children. We are aiming for $100 as a school donation. Silver Creek will run tomorrow (Friday Sep 22nd) for 26 minutes as a tribute to the 26 miles Terry ran every for over 300 days.
Please review the dates below. They include new dates for school events and fieldtrips. A paper copy of the school newsletter will be published and sent home (emailed as well) by Sep 29th.
