Unplug and Play at Silver Creek

It’s the last week of January and we are thrilled to support the Literacy Alliance of the Shuswap Society (LASS) Unplug and Play event. Silver Creek teachers have created daily activities where we focus on literacy, fitness and outdoor learning. Today students are reading Robert Munsch books and participating in a Battle of the Books game to see what students know about Murmel, Murmel, Murmel, I Love You Forever, and the Paper Bag Princess, to name a few.

Tuesday we are searching the forest and playground on a scavenger hunt.

Wednesday is board games with friends.

Thursday is skating for two classes.

Friday is Outdoor stations and Super Friday Hot Lunch!

We encourage everyone to disconnect or reduce their time from technology this week and get outside, spend time with a book and family!
